Community Liaison Manager

I am a qualitative researcher who has a passion for working with patients and the public to tackle health inequalities and my areas of interest are Patient Public Involvement, equity in breast cancer screening and co-production on health promotions.

I have recently started working in the Cancer Theme project as Community Liaison Manager where I am responsible for developing relationships with communities and stakeholders who contribute to our research on non–invasive cancer tests. I enjoy working equally with both internal and external partners.

I completed my PhD in 2025, which focused on “Improving  breast cancer screening for minority ethnic women in Leicester”. I have also participated at a number of early detection conferences and presented a Lightning talk at the Cancer Research UK, Early Detection of Cancer Conference 2023.

I was one of the few early year researchers to be awarded the Vanessa Moss Prize for “Best Abstract Awardee” at the London Global Cancer week, 2024 special focus on Cancer Health Disparities: Understanding the inequalities conundrum. This led to the publication of my abstract in E-Cancer journal.

I am currently working towards publishing journal articles based on my PhD research.
